project process

Although the details vary depending on the type of project, the same basic steps are taken whether we are working on a brand, direct mail piece, brochure or web project.

1. Strategic planning.

imageseven representatives meet with you to discuss your needs on a specific project and how the project fits in with your total communications program. The basic parameters, including the broad project brief, budget and timelines, are discussed at this time.

2. The strategy statement.

The entire project is based on this document, which is developed with your input and approved by you. It is carefully prepared by imageseven and includes such essential information as the communication objective, the target audience, current perceptions, desired perceptions and the all-important call-to-action. An initial proposal or estimate will accompany the strategy statement.

3. Internal meeting and proposal.

All relevant imageseven team members are briefed. Your budget requirements are discussed at this time. A communication brief is provided to you which outlines the key points of the project for your approval.

4. Cost estimate, creative development.

Once the communication brief has been approved, an accurate, detailed cost estimate or proposal can be developed. Your final approval is needed before we proceed with concept development.

5. Schedule development.

Deadlines are determined and a detailed calendar is developed with due dates for each step of the process.

6. Concept development.

Your Accounts Team and the Art Director team up to develop creative approaches to the project.

7. Internal review.

The rough concepts are reviewed by the Art Director and your Accounts Team. The best, most effective ideas are selected and polished up for presentation to you.

8. Initial creative presentation.

imageseven shares its concepts with you in the form of rough layouts. This is a work-in-progress meeting; your input and reaction are eagerly sought.

9. Production.

Photography or illustrations are competed.

10. Assembly.

If it's a printed piece, all of the elements are sized and prepared electronically to be printed. For web work, our in-house Internet team creates the files. Any last-minute changes at this stage could be costly and cause significant delays.

11. Delivery.

Your publication is printed and distributed. Your direct mail campaign is in the post. Your website is tested and posted.
