Performance cues are not for actors
It sounds obvious, but when your customer buys a product or service, they expect to receive certain performance cues. If there are no performance cues, there is no reason for the customer to consider the purchase again.
For example, a smoke alarm may be necessary protection equipment for homes and offices, but if there is no signal or indicator to show that the product is actually working, the consumer will have doubts.
Your objective is to make your service do something faster, better or cheaper than your competitors and then prove it every time the customer uses your product or service.
